Kathleen Philbrick, FNP-C, CWCN-AP, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and wound-certified Advanced Practice nurse. Kathy is a native Mainer and has lived and worked on the Mid-coast for over 15 years.
Kathy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Husson University in 2008 and a Master of Science in Nursing (Family Nurse Practitioner Program), also from Husson, in 2016. She also holds a Bachelor of Art degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Maine at Orono obtained in 1993.
Kathy is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board. She also earned her RNFA, RN surgical First Assist, from the National Institute of First Assisting and Borough of Manhattan Community College in 2020.
She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Maine Nurse Practitioner Association. Kathy maintains certifications in basic and advanced cardiac life support and wound care.
Kathy has experience working with patients who have acute and chronic health conditions. She enjoys helping patients to understand and manage their health. She believes that compassion and a good sense of humor are helpful at work and everyday life. Kathy’s professional interests include patient health education and wound care.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and pets. She also appreciates cooking, reading, hiking, antiquing and shopping at local farmers' markets. To stay healthy, Kathy likes to hike on trails near her home, walk her dog and bike ride.
